Summary
If you fall asleep right now, you'll have 6 hours of sleep left. Not great, but not terrible either. You roll over and think about what you could have said to your boss when he told you there wouldn't be a bonus this year. And darn, you’re thirsty. In the dark, your toe against the wall tells you you're heading in the wrong direction. A quick glance at your phone: only 5 hours of sleep left. Now, you lie on your stomach, but your bladder, compressed, wakes up too. After a trip to the bathroom, scrolling through Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and back again, you finally drift off to sle... "DRIIIIING!" And the alarm goes off.
Excess Baggage Under Your Eyes
Awake, you dive headfirst into a day that promises to be long. In the bathroom, you assess the damage: dark circles and puffy eyes. This part of your skin is four times thinner than the rest of your face, so the blood vessels are more visible. Lack of sleep also causes water retention—an accumulation of water and fat—that, in your case, forms bags under your eyes.
A Good Dose of Moisturizing Eye Cream
The classic cucumber slices on the eyes, as seen in movies and TV shows, might come to mind. But cucumbers aren’t always in season, just like barbecues and caipirinhas. Plus, they’ll only slightly reduce puffiness around your eyes without tackling the deeper issue. We recommend using our Moisturizing Eye Cream instead. Formulated with caffeine, with daily use, they’ll visibly reduce dark circles and diminish puffiness. You'll look energized and radiate with a healthy glow!
It’s super-easy to use (and really pleasant first thing in the morning!). Apply a small dab daily to thoroughly cleansed skin, morning and/or evening. Massage in with the metal applicator. Pat in with fingertips until fully absorbed. For extra freshness, keep yours in the fridge. Between the eggs and the OJ is perfect.
Go Further with Our Concealer
If you want to enhance your eyes and reduce signs of fatigue, our Concealer is the one! Available in 7 shades to match all skin tones, it reduces the appearance of dark circles and covers imperfections with a natural and invisible finish.
Apply the concealer under your eye in a V shape, then gently tap with your finger until it blends seamlessly for a natural look. If you have any blemishes, you can also use it to cover them. Simply apply the concealer to the affected areas and tap with your finger. And there you have it—almost as if you had a full 10 hours of sleep!
Teaspoon, Water, and Moisturizer
Another quick fix to deflate your eyes: a teaspoon left in the freezer for 15 minutes, then applying the rounder side to your eye contour. Even though we know that the best way to avoid dark circles and bags is to make sure you get enough hours of sleep, 7-8 hours per night ideally. Also, remember to hydrate well before sleeping! Hydration helps with water circulation in your body. This is how you avoid that notorious water retention. So, drink water and use a dedicated product. Applied at night, our Rich Face Moisturizer with organic shea butter nourishes and protects even the most sensitive skin. It also contains organic prickly pear oil, which softens the skin and prevents dryness. With that, try disconnecting from your phone, kick it out of your bedroom, grab a good book, and have sweet dreams!
