For some ashiny forehead can be embarrassing. It’s generally the sign that your skin is producing too much oil. Horace gives you some advice on how to avoid this unwanted shine.
Good to know at first glance: all skin types, whether oily, combination or dry, produce sebum (a lipidic film to protect the skin from drying out). Depending on these skin types and on each individual, this production can sometimes be increased and give the forehead a glossy appearance.
Bold front: a problem?
You obviously prefer to shine with your ideas rather than with too much oil. You should worry about a shiny forehead when the problem becomes daily. Moreover, if you are often affected by pimples on your forehead, it is probably particularly oily. The problem should therefore be treated accordingly.
How to avoid a shiny forehead?
We advise you to cleanse your skin regularly with our purifying face cleanser, and to moisturise it properly (once or twice a day, depending on your needs) with a light cream, such as our matifying face moisturiser. It's best not to deprive an oily forehead of moisture - this will only make the problem worse since dehydrated skin produces more sebum by reaction.
Using a purifying face mask on your T-zone can help you to deeply cleanse the oily area and pores that are most prone to blackheads. Another good solution is the use of our Duo kit sebum control composed of the purifying face mask and the tonic lotion. The combination of the benefits of our tonic lotion and our purifying face mask helps to eliminate imperfections, excess sebum and therefore unwanted shine.
