Cold, wind and hydroalcoholic gel: this seasonal cocktail makes your hands more fragile.

First, wash your hands well

With water, limestone and soap, washing your hands contributes to destroying the skin's hydrolipidic film, which is a natural barrier made of sebum and water. And this is all the more true with hot water, which is more aggressive on the skin: warm water is therefore preferable, as it is softer. If you are in a public place, we advise you to avoid using an electric hand dryer, which has a tendency to dry out the skin.

The importance of nourishing them

If the skin on your hands looks like that of a snake, it is probably suffering from dryness. When the temperature drops below freezing, the skin can even crack and bleed. Before this happens, it's best to moisturise your hands frequently: like your face and body, they too need to be nourished daily, or even several times a day. But don't overdo it and spread it on your hands every five minutes, otherwise the skin will no longer make the effort to protect itself.

How should I treat my hands?

If your hands have cracks or lesions, you can opt for a cream or balm that deeply moisturises and repairs. Our moisturising hand balm deeply nourishes the skin with shea butter. It also contains provitamin B5 and vegetable glycerine to moisturise and soften the skin. In the event of a skin condition such as eczema, psoriasis or xerosis, don't hesitate to consult a dermatologist: he or she will be able to tell you what care your skin needs.
