How Ibiza '87 was created
Champagne, the king of party and luxury
From the French region, champagne has been linked to party and bold style since Louis XIV. YSL was the first to use it in Yvresse.
A freshly opened champagne
Champagne has fruity, sweet and slightly fermented notes. Aldehydes, a synthetic molecule, boost the fresh fizz. Cork shows the party just started.
A typical aromatic bouquet
Ibiza is a Mediterranean isle with wild thyme and juniper. Used since antiquity, these herbs also have medical perks. We use essences in Ibiza '87.
Labdanum, resin from Cistus flower
Cistus covers Ibiza, its gardens and homes. Here, we use resin from Cistus Labdanum, akin to Ibiza’s cistus. It smells warm, amber, sweet: like a hot party night.
