How l'étiquette was created

How l'étiquette is made

Lavender, the most Mediterranean of flowers
Lavender has been used since antiquity.
The Romans saw it as a symbol of purity and cleanliness.
It became a staple note in perfumery in the 19th century.

A collaboration with L’Étiquette magazine
L’Étiquette is the go-to magazine for men’s style.
Together with Caroline Dumur, we created a fragrance that reflects the spirit of both our brands.

A fresh and aromatic lavender
Lavender essential oil is pale yellow.
It has an aromatic, fresh, floral scent with hay-like nuances.

The creation of a cigarette accord
Caroline Dumur used galbanum and tobacco.
Tobacco brings the round, warm, and mineral aspect of a cigarette.
Galbanum brings out its green, woody, and dry side.

Cashmeran, a woody and sensual synthetic note
Created in 1970 by John Hall, Cashmeran was first used in Givenchy’s Amarige.
Cashmeran is woody and musky, earning it the nickname cashmere wood.

Made in Grasse, the world’s perfume capital
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A tannery town that became a fragrance town to hide the bad odors of leather.

Handmade by Saïd
Saïd handmakes the entire concentrate.
He’s been preparing perfumes by hand for 30 years.
