The best ways to smell good, for a long time.
This morning, with a bottle of our eau de parfum in your hand, you asked yourself: “How do I do this properly?” How do you smell good all day long without smelling out the train to work? Obviously, picking a scent that lasts a long time and smells good is where you should start. That’s not all: you also need to know how and where to apply it. Luckily, we’re here to help.
On the pulse points
When you apply perfume, not all areas react equally. Indeed, you must focus on your pulse points. These are the areas of the body that emit the most heat, body heat allowing the fragrance to diffuse during the day. So, favour the inside of the wrists, the elbow, the temples, the earlobe, or the hollow of the knees. Anywhere you can feel your heartbeat. And note that it is best, for optimal effect, to apply the fragrance to several pulse points, and not only one.
In the air
This is a widely used technique, enjoyed by those looking to perfume themselves very lightly and very discreetly. Spray the scent in the air and then step into the cloud. It will settle all over. But some will fade into the air. Which is a waste.
What about directly on the neck?
This is no doubt the first technique you learned: applying the scent directly on the neck in several sprays. This is not the most efficient, already because it limits your use of pulse points to only one. Try an indirect technique, if you insist on spraying there. First, apply to your wrists. Rub them delicately together against your neck. Two birds, one stone. Or two wrists, one neck.
Don’t forget your beard
